Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Calgary

About Me

Psychologist in Calgary

IN A NUTSHELL

I’m Jaime Borger, a Registered Psychologist in Calgary, AB. I help people untangle emotional and psychological knots and make meaningful shifts in their lives.

My approach is integrative and evidence-based. I integrate Buddhist psychology with contemporary therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we use cognitive, emotional, mindfulness and somatic practices to explore what it means to be human–struggles and all–while cultivating awareness, vitality, flexibility, and choice.

I understand that life can be painful and overwhelming. And, I believe that no matter how lost you may feel, a fuller, richer life is possible. I am here to provide support and guidance that helps you move beyond struggle and towards freedom.

I offer in-person sessions in Calgary , or on-line therapy across Alberta for your convenience.

HOW THERAPY CAN HELP YOU

Being human is messy. Pain and disappointment are part of life — but much of our suffering comes from struggling against them.

In therapy, I help you:

  • Quiet your mind and find freedom from past regrets and future worries

  • Understand and work with your emotions without being overwhelmed

  • Make choices aligned with your values and what truly matters

  • Live with greater authenticity, clarity, and intention

MY APPROACH TO THERAPY

I believe authentic happiness is a skill you can learn. I offer practical tools and evidence-based strategies you can use every day — in your relationships, personal growth, family life, or career.

The work is simple, but not easy. It takes willingness and active participation. I’ll meet you where you are and adapt the process to your unique needs and goals.

ISSUES I WORK WITH

I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, eating disorders, and phobias. I’m trained in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am available for appointments in person in Calgary, or via teletherapy, across Alberta.
